Update on Typhoon Igme

Typhoon Igme at 4:00 p.m. today was located based on satellite and surface data at 310 km East of Aparri, Cagayan (18.5°N 124.9°E) with maximum sustained winds of 130 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kph, state weather bureau, PAG-ASA said.

It is forecast to move North slowly.

Cagayan and Isabela will experience rains with gusty winds and the coastal waters along these areas will be rough to very rough.

The rest of Luzon and Mindanao will be mostly cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming cloudy with widespread rains over the rest of Northern Luzon and the Western sections of Central and Southern Luzon which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.

Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northwest to West will prevail over the rest of Northern and Central Luzon and coming from the Southwest over the rest of the country.

The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough.(PAGASA)
