Mall supports tourism program of Quezon Province

The provincial government of Quezon will strengthen the tourism industry in the province by launching "Hello Quezon" program.

Quezon Gov. David Suarez said the program will showcase local festivals, traditions, culinary, products, arts and culture of the province to be held in SM City Lucena from April to May 2013.

“The likes of ‘Lubid-Lubid’ Festival of Tiaong, Quezon; ‘Laguimanok’ Festival of Padre Burgos, Quezon; ‘Tebolan’ Festival of Jomalig, Quezon; ‘Pahiyas’ Festival of Lucban, Quezon and ‘Kaway’ Festival of Tagkawayan, Quezon will be featured in a month-long showcasing of festivals in SM City,” the governor said.

He added this program will promote the tourism industry in the province and boost local economy of the participating towns.

Meanwhile, SM City area public relation manager Lilibeth Azores said they support this kind of project because it will contribute in the development of tourism industry in the province. (CPG/JMG/PIA4A-Quezon)
